When our college is basking in the enviable glory of its being declared as Centre for Excellence ,our central research lab has added another feather to it’s cap.Unquestionably,the 21st century belongs to discovery-driven technologies in the field of science . Growing population, ever increasing demand for food and quality life, scarce arable land , environmental pollution of mother earth including green house effect causing global warming and resistance to chemicals in pest and pathogen population are the multiple problems we human being are facing. To cop-up with these problems, research in different areas is the need of hour. Research translates theoretical knowledge into concrete shape and equiphuman race to meet the challenges posed by the fast changing scenario .Infact, all round development of our college lacked in this particular field . The establishment of Central Reseach Lab studded with the latest equipment is a big leap in this desired direction . The equipment and related infrastructure has been established after seeking the advice of the masters of the field of research which will keep advancing as per the requirement of the nature of research work . Now we can take pride in the fact that technologically we are strongly equipped to delve deep into the scientific realm and attempt to harness the unbounded power of science for the upliftment of human race. Towards elucidating the techniques, some of the important equipment include: UV-VIS Double Beam Spectrophotometer , Dual Channel Flame Photometer, Digital pH meter , Colorimeter , Centrifuge machine, Laminar air flow system ,BOD, Electronic and Electrical Weighing Balance, Soil Testing kit,Photomicrographic Unit,Stereobinocular Microscope , Incubator, Oven and Computer with printer .
Here it is worth mentioning that facilities available in this research lab are being utilised for the attainment of the objectives of the UGC sponsored Major Research Project in the subject of Botany.
