Gandhian Studies Centre
Gandhi symbolized many things during his life- time, a politician, a leader, a freedom fighter, a philosopher and a social reformer. The most popular and strong leader of the twentieth century who won the hearts of the people across the globe was known as a naked fakir (saint). Being the leader of the popular and mass struggles like Indian Freedom Movement, anti-colonialism, anti-imperialism, anti- racism Gandhi adopted unique techniques of Ahimsa, Satyagraha and Trusteeship to emancipate the human folk from all evils.
It was first ever in the world history that the lakhs of people including the women and children have participated in the freedom movement of any country and defeated the world great imperial power (Britain) peacefully. It was under the Gandhi’s moral and political leadership that lakhs of people were not only trained to practice Satyagraha, but they were also made to realise the power of truth, morality, spiritualism and harmonial co-existence with other and nature.
