Physical sciences like astronomy, chemistry and physics rely heavily on mathematics. Mathematics develope analytical skills, problem solving skills, investigative skills, communication skills, IT skills & personality traits like determination, preservance, creativity, self confidence, intellectual rigour etc.

  • Maths as a subject was introduced in 1985 at the U.G. level.
  • Department is running B.A./B.Sc. Hons in Mathematics and M.Sc. Mathematics.
  • Well-qualified and trained faculty members.

  • Extension lectures, workshops are organized to keep the students abreast with latest developments and innovations in the subject.
  • Extra Curricular activities like National Olympiad, Mental ability test, Model exhibition, Poster making competitions etc. are also held to keep the motto ”Maths is Fun” alive.
  • College provides spacious and well lit class rooms with LCD and well equipped computer labs for imparting quality education to the students.
  • Books, both reference and text, Journals/ Magazines are adequately pesent in the college library and departmental library for reference.
